MOU on Collaboration between DANTE and TEIN*CC
Delivery of Advanced Network Technology to Europe(DANTE) and TEIN* Co-operation Center (TEIN*CC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 26th August 2012 to collaborate on projects to benefit the research and education community in the Asia Pacific region.
DANTE and TEIN*CC will capitalize on TEIN4 activities and plan to promote the long-term sustainability of research and education networking in Asia Pacific and Europe.
The scope of collaboration between DANTE and TEIN*CC includes the following aspects:
DANTE will provide consultancy service advice and support to TEIN*CC during the TEIN4 project.
- co-operation between GEANT and TEIN in areas of mutual interest on Advanced Internet Technologies; New Generation Network/Future Internet Technologies; Test Beds; Research and Education Networking Co-Operation between Asia and Europe.
About Delivery of Advanced Network Technology to Europe (DANTE) DANTE is a non-profit organisation established in 1993, to build and operate GÉANT, which provides the pan-European data communications infrastructure for European research and education.
DANTE currently manages regional R&E projects focussed on the Mediterranean, Asia-Pacific, sub Saharan Africa and central Asia regions through EUMEDCONNECT, AfricaConnect and CAREN respectively.
It managed TEIN2 and TEIN3 and continues to advise TEIN*CC on TEIN4. Website: http://www.dante.net

TEIN*CC is a not-for-profit Foundation Corporation endorsed by the ASEM8 Summit, and designated to be the coordinating partner for the European Commission (EC) co-funded TEIN4 regional research and education network projects in the Asian and European regions respectively.
