| [Brief Result] Training Program for Maintaining Campus Network Workshop | |

The 5-day workshop “Maintaining Campus Network” was held from 18 August to 22 August 2017. This workshop aimed to be expert engineers as learning maintenance and management of campus network issues.
Total 27 participants from different public universities of home and abroad participated in the workshop. Local participants were from 20 universities in Bangladesh and Overseas participant was from Sri Lanka.
By this workshop, participants learned maintaining and managing of BGP routing, VLANs, firewall and security, network servers, wireless LAN, Radius server for authentication and NMS (Cacti) configuration, etc. for their campus LAN. They were also clarified (practically) of their existing networking challenges. Participants also created an online collaborative group where they can share network issues and solutions.
After return from the workshop, they would be able to deploy network monitoring and management tools learned from this workshop in their own campus.
Participants also commented that they need such workshop frequently in each year with new topics related to campus network. |
