When: December 11 -15, 2017 Where: Islamabad, Pakistan The Annual TEIN NOC Workshop is a yearly event that is conducted through the funding by Asi@Connect. The year 2017 TEIN NOC workshop was organized by PERN, the national research and education network organization of Pakistan, and total 31 engineers from TEIN community participated. The workshop was aimed at developing the skill set of the Network Engineers in Asi@Connect partners who are actively involved in Network Operational activities. The workshop was designed to provide Best Operational Practices to NREN engineers as well as an introduction to cutting edge topics that are forward looking for the Asia pacific region. Also, the workshop aimed at enhancing the capacity of the Asi@Connect partners in achieving its goals for improving collaborative research and education amongst the countries in TEIN community. The workshop sessions were delivered by network experts from GÉANT and Asia@Connect partners, and each NREN representatives shared their up-to-dated network status. The participants were also learned configuration of operating tools to support management and monitoring of Campus-wide network services including handling of R&E services, Service provider issues, security incident handling and importance of incident response teams running within R&E networks and university networks.
