Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of Technical Management Team leader, the Network Engineer is responsible for the following.
- Assist in TEIN4 connectivity tender and reviewing and redesigning TEIN4 network topology to achieve resilient networks in the failure of connectivity.
- Monitor TEIN4 network utilization and performance; analyze network traffic statistics to identify, recommend and implement operational policies with the assistance from TEIN4 NOC.
- Manage the inventory and help sourcing TEIN4 network Equipment through procurement, sponsorship.
- Oversee TEIN4 NOC which manages the TEIN4 network on a day to day basis.
- Assist in developing or extending applications and tools to promote the utilization of TEIN4 network between participating countries.
- Perform other related duties as and when requested by the Chief of the Unit.
Position Type
- Full Time
- Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm or 10:00am . 7:00pm (optional)
- At times, rarely, there may be work outside these hours.
Competencies
- Professionalism - Good knowledge of relevant network technology; be familiar and having some technical experience with the BGP and MPLS.
- Communications . Good communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts and recommendations to non-technical staff at all levels, both orally and in writing, in a clear, concise style.
- Teamwork - Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
Education - University degree (BA or equivalent) in electronic, telecommunications, technical science, computer technology or other related field.
Work Experience
- At least 2 years of hands-on, proven, effective and progressive responsibility in Networks, including configuring, operating and managing LANs and WANs. Exposure to international working environment is desirable.
Languages
- English is the official language. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is essential.
Salary 25,000~29,000 EURO/year (Before TAX)
- No additional support for accommodation, living cost and relocation expenses.
- The contract will be 1 year based, but it’s renewal will be subject to evaluation report.
