Asi@Connect Workshops on Campus Network Security (10-14 Dec)
Issues and Challenges When: 10 - 14 December, 2017 Where: Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Dhaka. Dhaka-1000, Bangladesh INTRODUCTION: Collaboration and sharing of information among various universities are highly important for research and development. For example, BdREN has already connected 36 universities in different locations of the country, triggering information sharing amongst the universities and setting up a launching pad for collaborative research. However, the huge volume of data sharing using such network has made it an ideal target for malicious attackers. In this regard, there is an urgent need to increase security of campus networks. State of the art security protocols and security best practices needs to be implemented to serve over 100 million students in various campuses in Bangladesh. In this regard, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Dhaka is organizing this workshop with the support of Asi@Connect project of TEIN*CC. When: 6-8 December 2017Where: Hanoi, Vietnam 1st Tech-Culture Fusion Workshop & Live Cyber Performance will be held in Hanoi on 6th to 8thDecember. This event is hosted by NASATI & VinaREN. This is one of e-culture activity series based on TEIN network, and 4 countries (KR, VN, IN, PK) participated and connect 3 countries (VN, IN, PK) for the demonstration. During the workshop, e-culture experts in Asia will present their views, experiences, then there will be discussion for the further collaborations. Participants are from AU, PK, BD, MY, and KR. At the live demonstration, each(VN, IN, PK) country will show their own contents (mostly Music) one by one, And 3-point improvisational performance will be tried. India & Pakistan joined this demonstration as a first time in cultural exchange, which will be an initial endeavor for their cultural activities broader.
