The TEIN4 project seeks International Circuits to connect the National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) in the Asia Pacific region. TEIN4 receives funding support from the European Commission up to the end of the project (presumably March 2016) and from the participating NRENs.
The tender seeks international point-to-point connectivity to designated locations on NREN networks in the following partner countries/economies: Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam and subject to change.
The connections are expected to be to existing network hubs in Beijing, Hong Kong, Mumbai, and/or Singapore, with link capacities in the range 45 Mbps to 10 Gbps.
TEIN*CC will also look into a feasibility of Indefeasible Right of Use (IRUs) in the above area.
Any organisation interested in receiving the tender documentation and being eligible to participate in later stages of the tender must formally express interest to [tech@teincc.org] by 15th April 2014.
