| Contract Notice [TEIN4 Afghanistan Connectivity] | |

The TEIN4 project seeks international point-to-point connectivity between Afghanistan* and one of TEIN POPs (Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore & Mumbai). The capacities to be procured will be in the range 100M to 1Gbps. Term of contract of connectivity could be for up to a maximum of 3 years. Any interested organization to be invited to the tender must formally express its interest to [tech@teincc.org], with relevant information noted in the full contract notice, by August 2015. *With regards to Afghanistan, physical termination will be Torkham the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, however service point (including technical issues, for example, troubleshooting, etc.) will be extended to AfgREN NOC which is located in Kabul City and it is subject to change. TEIN*CC (Trans-Eurasia Information Network-star Cooperation Center) was established in August 2011 by the Korean Government and with TEIN partner support as a non-profit Foundation Corporation to take responsibility for the 4th phase of the TEIN programme which started in April 2012. It is located in Seoul with funding provided by the Korean Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning. TEIN*CC and the continuation of the TEIN programme were endorsed at the ASEM9 Summit in 2012 in Lao PDR where leaders recognised the important role played by the TEIN project in increasing direct internet connectivity among research and education in Asia and between Asia and Europe.
