The 9th Asia-Europe Meeting Summit(ASEM9) was held from 5 to 6 November at Vientiane, Laos.
The Vientiane delegations adopted the 9th Chair’s Statement that mentioned about the successful establishment of TEIN*Cooperation and the launch of TEIN4 project under the theme on ‘Friends for Peace, Partners for Prosperity’.

Leaders noted- the establishment of Trans-Eurasia Information Network-star (TEIN*) Cooperation and the successful launch of the 4th phase of the TEIN project, recognizing the important role of the TEIN project to enhance exchanges and cooperation among research and education community in Asia and between Asia and Europe.
